In Psalm 127:1, the message centers on building a legacy that lasts. Explore Psalm 127 and discover why building a life, home, and legacy with eternity in view begins by letting the Lord establish what truly lasts. Rather than treating the passage as abstract theology, the sermon traces what these truths reveal about God, the gospel, and the way followers of Jesus are called to live.
The sermon follows the biblical text into practical discipleship, connecting doctrine with identity, character, and daily obedience. It challenges listeners to examine the assumptions shaping their lives and to allow the truth of Scripture to renew the way they think and respond. The emphasis is not merely on understanding the passage, but on becoming the kind of people whose lives are formed by it.
Along the way, the message engages themes including Psalm 127:1, building a legacy that lasts, psalm 127 why building a, building. These ideas help place the primary passage within the larger story of Scripture and show how its theology speaks to real spiritual formation. At its heart, the sermon helps answer questions such as: What does Psalm 127:1 teach about building a legacy that lasts? It also considers how should building a legacy that lasts shape the way Christians live?
For someone studying this passage, exploring the Christian faith, or looking for practical biblical teaching, this sermon offers a clear path from the text to everyday discipleship. The invitation is to hear what Scripture says, receive it with humility, and take the next faithful step in following Jesus.

Because when you take all of the scriptures on eternity, on heaven, judgment, rewards, all the things that we've been talking about again, heaven and hell and all that, the punishment, and boil it all down to the core as believers, we are going to be judged really in two main areas. Again, if we're believers, if we call Jesus Lord and we're a follower of him there, we're going to be judged in two major areas. The first one is this our involvement in building the kingdom of God and number two how we built individual lives. How we discipled people and and and also how we ourselves were obedient to the word of God. How our life was built because of our relationship with the Lord. And just notice keep those statements up there. In both of those statements there's there's this word it's build. Building. Built. So why is that? Last week I kind of referred to this when Paul said that each one of us are builders. Let each one take heed how he builds. In 1 Corinthians 3, Psalm 127:1, "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain, church, we are called to build." Not just physical buildings and structures, but we are actually called to build the church. We're called to build the house of God. And there's this beautiful connection whenever we saw Jesus teaching and he said the kingdom of heaven is at hand. The kingdom of God is at hand. He's talking about heaven coming to earth. Even in the the Lord's prayer, we we say, "Lord, let your kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." And so I'm not going to go super deep into, you know, the millennial reign and the thousand years where, you know, heaven actually comes down to earth, but there's going to be a period of time, and it's coming soon when all that is being built in heaven will be established here in the earth. >> Yeah. >> And so what I want to talk about today is what are we building? >> How can we here and now build something that is in heaven and eternal? Last week we talked about, you know, building things that are temporal that are going to burn up or building things that are going to last for eternity. And so for us, I go back to that verse in in Psalm 127. We can't be building this on our own. We have to have the spirit of God helping us if we're going to build anything that's worth eternal value. I could I could say it this way. Someone that's working for 80 years in their own strength to build something for God cannot do more than somebody working 80 seconds by the spirit of God. Again, that's why scripture says it's not by might, it's not by power, but it's by your spirit, says the Lord. So when I read my Bible and when I think about building things that are eternal, when I think about building up others, when I think about walking in his ways, I just my cry and my prayer is, "Holy Spirit, spirit of the Lord, I need to have you in my life because I don't want to build anything in my own strength." We can't live worthy of the gospel without the spirit of God working within us. Amen. >> Amen. >> But there's other facets. There's another facet here to building. Psalm 118:22. The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. Some of you know this language. And if you don't, I want to show you today. Jesus is called the cornerstone. >> Ephesians 2:20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone. So again, what is what is God building with Jesus as the cornerstone? 1 Corinthians 3:9, for we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field and God's building. So the I read this last week, but I just wanted to read it again because it says that we're God's fellow workers. We're co- lababorers with him. But then he also says, "But you're also a building. You're building the building that you are. God is building his house and he's building it with us and through us cuz we are the house. What is the name of God's house? We we could say heaven. We could say, you know, that big place up in the sky. But scripture tells us that the Lord has called his house Zion. Everybody say Zion. Psalm 132:13-14. For the Lord has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his dwelling place. This is my resting place forever. Here I will dwell for I've desired it. You see his passion for his house, his dwelling place. God desires Zion. He desires heaven. And he's building Zion right now in heaven. The kingdom that will come to earth is being built in heaven. and it's being built through us right now. Now, when you're building a house, I know we got some construction guys here in in the church. When you're building a house, once you have the blueprint and you have the plan, what's the first thing that you're going to start with when you're building >> the foundation. And Franklin, it's codes. You got to get all the codes worked out first, right? But it's the foundation. Isaiah 28:16, "Therefore, thus says the Lord, behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone of a sure foundation. Whoever believes will not be in haste." Again, Jesus is this chief foundational cornerstone of God's house. >> But remember, Paul said, "We're the house." So if Jesus is part of the building material of the house, that means that we're part of building material of the house as well. And what does the Bible say about that? He calls us living stones in 1 Peter 2 4-5. As you come to him, Christ the living stone rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him. You also like living stones are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Christ Jesus. So, this is really exciting to me. And again, I I I I know we can get hung up on the different language of like I'm a stone or I'm building the stone. And we can go back and forth with all of that, but let's just say it's both. And today, right? We're builders, but we're also the material that's part of the building. So, we're subcontractors in building God's house. Do we I know we have some subcontractors in here, right? Or you know what that is? It's the electrician. It's the plumber. It's the It's the drywall guy. It's the framers. It's the the window guys. It's They're all building the house and they all have their different pieces. Like I don't I don't know why, but when I was reading this, I had the song stuck in my head. Bob the Builder. Y'all remember that? No. Okay. That's like a millennial thing maybe. But it's like, can we fix it? Yes, we can. There you go. Y'all do know it. >> [laughter] >> It was funny because during lead Axios, our our our disciplehip training that we we just finished up a couple weeks ago, uh my my mom Kim, she actually uh did this whole teaching on foremans versus framers. Any you guys remember that that talk with being a foreman, being a team leader, it's so vital. But when you come onto a job site, many times the foreman actually he never touches a tool, never lays a brick, never nails a single nail. It's all the subcontractors that are doing all the work. They're the ones that are doing all the stuff. And so what I love is scripture shows us that Jesus, he's building with us. God has the plan. He's the the foreman building the church. And we co-labor with Jesus. And there's a method to building his house. There's a schedule. There's specific tasks that need to be done at specific times. And when we begin to see this more and more, we we begin to open up to a world of recognizing God's sovereignty that God needs you to be in this room at this time today >> here in this moment for a reason. In order to build what God is building, he has divinely placed you where you are in the job that you have, with the spouse that you have, with the family that you have. All of these pieces, all of it's working together so that you can fulfill the specific task that is on your life. And and let me just back up for a moment. It's not just a singular thing that he's called you to do, but every day is a new thing. is a new work is a new opportunity is a is a moment that we can say yes to him >> and to all that he's called us to do. We're not just slapped a we don't just slap a title on our life and say, "Oh, I'm this and so I'm not going to do anything but that today." No, God is calling you every single day to build his house. And again, there's a schedule to it. There's there's a method to the madness. I love in Galatians 4:4. It says that God sent Jesus at an appointed time. I'm a big history nerd. And so I I love to look at history and the word of God. And and it's so beautiful to see how Jesus came at such an appointed time. And I've taught on this before, but let me just nerd out with you for a second. During the time when Jesus came, everything that was shifting within the world was moving to a place where pretty much everybody spoke Greek and everyone knew how to read Greek. If Jesus had come like 500 years earlier, we would not have scripture today. We wouldn't because no one would have been able to really write down in a language where everyone could have understood. And the reason that the church exploded is because everybody could read Greek. And so they would write these letters and send it from church to church to church. And so again, if the Greeks hadn't conquered the the world at that time, we may not have scripture today. To me, it shows the sovereignty of God. He knows what's going on. >> Could it be that you are on this earth here and now at this point in history? I know some of y'all are old souls in the room and you're like, "Oh, I should have been born back in 1920 or I should have been born back in 1865." Y'all, in 1865, you you might have died from dysentery. Okay, praise God that you were born for such a time as this. But God has you exactly where you are to fulfill a task at this time on the schedule of heaven being built. >> That's why you're here. And it's interesting because God's timing it really matters in this because like when you're building a house, you can't bring the drywall guy in before the electrician or the plumber. Could it be that we're in the drywall stage? Or maybe we're painting. Things are starting to come together. God is coming soon. Ephesians 2:10, it says, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Notice, God prepared our work, our work as good work, we as subcontractors. And he and he prepared all of this before we even came to earth. Psalm 139:16. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. You have a book about your life. Guess [clears throat] what? You don't have to write an autobiography. It's already written in heaven. Every moment was laid out before a single day had even passed. It's it's wild to to wrap your mind around the sovereignty of God. And yet we all have free will. And so it's really interesting how God is is working in this way. There's this mentality also that it's only pastors, teachers, worship leaders, church staff who have this calling upon their life. But church, every single human being has been called to build his church >> and bring heaven to earth. God has placed his hand on your life to build his house in business, in the marketplace, in the military, as a as a parent, as a student. But now the question comes when it comes to judgment. Will we fulfill what God has already written about us in his book? Because Aaron, go back really quick to Ephesians 2:10. It didn't say that we would walk in these things. It says that we should walk in them. >> We should be walking in these things. We should be moving in this way and in this pattern that God has called us to. And this this verse is is is kind of out there, but it it really has stirred up my heart. It's Ecclesiastes 3 14-15. And again, it speaks to the sovereignty of God, but then it just kind of smacks you at the end. Brace yourself. Says, "I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it. Nothing can be taken from it. God does it that men should fear before him. That which is has already been and what is to be has already been. And God requires an account of what has passed. So let me just break this down really quick. God already knows everything that's happened. >> Amen. >> And God knows everything that will happen. >> But look at that last verse. God requires an account for what has passed. >> So the question is going back to Ephesians 2:10, are we actually doing what God requires us to do? >> This is heavy. When we stand before God, we're going to give an account for whether we were obedient to what God has called us to do. >> Yeah. or whether we chose to go our own way. >> Yeah. >> And again, I I've seen it happen because I've grown up in the church. I've seen it happen where we play this game about, well, am am I in my calling? Have I fully am am I really in the in the area that God has called me to? Church, let me just tell you, I've been in positions where I was exactly where I was called to be with the right title, with the right label, and I still felt like I missed it. And so what does scripture tell us to do? It tells us to seek him diligently in faith. Scripture tells us to to continue to pursue him for everything that he's called us into. We find out his ways by reading his word. We continue to choose to make an impact upon this world. And it's so important that we recognize that we will not only be judged according to what we did and how we lived, but we will be judged according to what we were called to do. We all play a part in impacting and moving people towards Jesus. Whether we fully realize or recognize that impact or not. And this is what I love. Like I love the fact that I can't see the future because I don't necessarily know if talking to one person and having a conversation with them is going to make a future impact in their life. I don't know that. I don't know if it will. But what if it does? What if God needs me to be obedient today and step out and begin to share Jesus with somebody or share an encouraging word and it could change the entire trajectory of their life? >> Amen. >> I don't know. I think if we did know like we'd be like, "Okay, I got to be at this place at this exact time." Like our whole life would be scheduled out if we knew the future, right? I've got to be in this thing. I I I have to be at that gas station at exactly when this person drives through. And like, no, we have free will. And we can either lean into what God has called us to in this hour. Man, they're having so much fun back there. Praise the Lord. Or we can just find ourselves in a place where I got to plan out my whole life. Or let me just back up for a second because I lost my train of thought with those kids screaming at me. I was thinking about this like for years and years. I I used to travel I I think I've been to over like 40 different countries traveling and filming and doing photography and stuff like that for missions and missionaries all around the world. Uh for like a 5 to sevenyear time period. I think I filmed over it was just over 300 missionaries. I I had one of my team members calculate how many missionary stories that we created. Um and it was so incredible because we were making these videos um really just to help these missionaries fundra. Um, there's a lot of great missionaries around the world and they're really great at what they do, but they not always good at telling you what they do >> or sharing their story. And so I came in, I made these little, you know, vignette videos of what was happening. I'd show some footage of the nation they were going to, and it was awesome. And they would use it to raise money in churches. And sometimes when we have missionaries here, they play a video. I usually don't let them play it unless I make it. Sorry. Not everybody has good videos, so you know. Anyways, um and I had a team member at the time, this was this was like maybe eight years ago, 10 years ago, and they tried to calculate how much money all of those videos could have raised because every missionary has to have a certain amount of budget that they have to raise with those videos. And this is kind of nuts. Like this is on the high end or I guess on the the medium end. It could be over a hundred million dollars that was raised because of those videos that were made, >> which is awesome. And I'm not saying this to like, you know, toot my own horn or whatever, but I'm for me, I'm just making a video. Again, I didn't raise the money. It was the missionary. It was their relationship. I just had a small little two and a half minute video that I put together for these guys and they used it as a tool and it made an impact. Right? I didn't go to the mission field to the country that they were called to. But could it be that because I helped them raise the money to get there that there's eternal rewards for the souls that are being reached by that missionary that I get to partake in because I just got to be a small piece in the puzzle to see someone come to Christ. >> We we I I read this study. I'm a big stats guy. I read this study that says it can take anywhere from 10 to 17 touch points, conversation points, encounters with with people to lead someone from not a son and daughter of God to being saved and going to heaven. 10 to 17 touch points it takes for one person to come to the Lord, which is which is wild to think. What if you're number five in someone's journey and you miss it? What if you're number eight and you think they're not ready to receive the Lord, so I'm just, you know, I'm not going to even engage in the conversation because, you know, I need to wait further down the line. I need to be number 17. I need to be the one that brings them into the kingdom. and I'm not going to waste my time unless I'm closer to the end. And then God has to go and find somebody else to do the thing that you were supposed to do. I'm not going to lie, I've wrestled with this thought because God is sovereign. So, he has a plan and the plan needs to take place. But how many people are dying and going to hell because someone didn't step up and do their job? And that's heavy. But it's true and it's real. And people are dying every single day and going to hell without ever hearing the gospel because somebody said, "Sorry, God. I can't do this." I'm not saying there's there's no real scriptural evidence to to to point to that says there's going to be blood in our hands before the Lord, but we will have to give an account for what we did and what we didn't do. I talked about it last week. You may you may squeak into heaven and everything else in your life burn up or you can come in to heaven and everyone's rejoicing at all the things that we built in eternity. Are we building up people? Are we building up the church? Or are we just building for ourselves? And I'm going to talk more about this in a moment because think about this for a second. Like I didn't raise any of the money for these missionaries. They raised it all. They got to the field. But when you break down your own life and your own walk, every single person in this room is following Jesus today because somebody gave. Somebody gave. They gave their time. They gave their resources. They gave their money. They sacrificed. Maybe gave their life. going all the way back to Jesus. Somebody gave for you to be here today. And it could have been a thousand years ago. It could have been someone built a church in that weird town that your grandma lives in >> and your grandma got saved and she got a hold of God and she did not stop praying for you. >> She didn't stop. She contended for you. She held on. Hey, that YouTube video that somebody made, somebody paid for that. >> They gave their time. They gave their energy. They got to run all the ads and all the things, too. So, they can keep making more videos. Somebody developed that app that you're using right now. Somebody took that time to create that study. Somebody printed that Bible for you and spent that time and that energy. Again, we're not just here by happen stance. We're here because somebody somewhere said yes. >> Somebody said, "I'M GONNA BE OBEDIENT. IF NOBODY ELSE STEPS OUT IN THIS MOMENT, IF NOBODY ELSE HAS THE CONVERSATION, I'm going to do it. I'm going to be the one." And I and I I think about this so often. There's this great movie. It's called The Adjustment Bureau. Has anybody seen it before? It's got Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. It's amazing. I think I think if there's a movie out there that kind of talks about the sovereignty of God made by Hollywood, this is it. Y'all should watch it. It's really cool. But basically like Matt Damon, he's this like political guy and he meets this girl. It's always got to be a girl, you know, and then the whole trajectory of his life begins to change. He was supposed to go into politics and become the next president or something. I don't know. And then he meets this girl and it's love at first sight, you know? He can't he can't get away from her. Some of y'all are like, "Yep, that's me. Hey, my wife." Hallelujah. But then there's these like guys that show up in like trench coats and suits and hats and then they're like trying to change and cut off this girl because they have this this plan and this map that shows the lines and connections and moments that led him to that point. And this this girl is an anomaly. She's not where she's supposed to be in the grand scheme of the plan. And for us today, I have I have to wonder what if God in a moment says, I need this child, this this son, this daughter to be exactly at this place to talk to that person so that a million people can come to know Christ because of that one conversation, because of that one moment, because of that one thing. Could it be that even in your job right now that one meeting on your lunch break talking to somebody has the ability to impact lives for the kingdom and you'll never actually get to see the fruit of it. I think about this like for those of you in the room that think I'm not called, I'm just a parent. Let me just tell you your kids >> the impact that they will make you will receive the reward from it. how you raise up your children in the way that they should go, how you raise and disciple people around you, you get to receive a reward and a part for what they go on and do for the kingdom. It says it in scripture. And so I I I wonder how many of us are are maybe not in the right seat on the bus because we're trying to do things our own way. We're trying to make our own money. We're trying to build up our own resources and and stopping for anybody else is just getting in the way of what we want. Again, you're here because somebody was faithful. But there are people that are not here because someone wasn't faithful. because someone said, "I'm not gonna stop and waste my time." Again, it could be this moment, that conversation, the encouraging word here, the random phone call, the coffee meeting, the dinner with friends, one life touching another to shape and grow them into who Jesus saved them to be. And this is why Jesus says, "Don't labor for what perishes. labor for that which endures to eternal life. And again, we can ask, how do you know what you're called to? Hebrews 11:6, God rewards those who diligently seek him in faith. It doesn't say that God rewards those who casually seek him or wonder or doubt or play patty cake with God. It says diligently seek God in faith. You may never preach on a platform. You may never reach thousands in stadiums, but you may be called again to raise up a child who does. You may be called to stop your day and encourage someone and begin to prophesy over them and speak life to them and they become the next Billy Graham >> and they lead the next great awakening, the next great revival. But you can't know unless you say yes. We all have a part to play in reaching the loss. I years ago I was interviewing a missionary and he starts sharing. He's like, I've been on the mission field for 20 years. And so I'm getting ready for like all the stories, you know, of like all the people that he's reached and I'm getting excited. I'm like, oh, this is going to be so cool. And he says, for 20 years, I only reached one person in this nation in Africa. I reached one person. I discipled one person in 20 years. And I know what you're thinking. Well, that kind of that kind of sucks for 20 years of your life to only reach one person. That seems like a waste of time. Not in God's economy. Not the way that God builds. Because that one disciple went on to plant 10,000 churches across the entire continent. >> How cool is that? just pouring into one life is what God has called you to do. Because sometimes we play this game of like, "Oh, I can't reach thousands, so I'm not even going to try." But if I just reach one, >> who knows what the impact could be. >> WHO KNOWS WHAT GOD COULD DO WITH THIS one life that I pour myself into? Again, you may be just one piece in the puzzle for someone's life. 1 Corinthians 3:8, he who plants and he who waters are one. Some of you are planting seeds. Some of you are watering those seeds. Some of you are helping prune and and guide and grow people. But you're working towards the same purpose. It's growing and building others. But each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. So, how do we labor? Since we have gifts that that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly. Romans 12:6, we all have different giftings. We all have different abilities. And that's the way it is with the spirit. God has given us all these different abilities to build up the kingdom. And it's and it's true. It's a true statement. Some of the most miserable people in the church are people trying to operate in somebody else's gifting. And the happiest people in church are the ones that are operating in their own gift. I'm going to skip down in my notes if that's okay. Each one of you has received a special gift. 1 Peter 4:10, a spiritual talent, an ability graciously given by God. That word gift is the Greek word for charisma. You've received a a caris or a charisma or God's abilities that he gives to each and every one of you. You've all been uniquely and wonderfully made by God. You have giftings that I will never have or possess because I'm not you. But God gives us the abilities in order to minister to one another, to grow each other up, not sit on the gift and wait till someone gives you a title. God doesn't like it when we sit on our gifts. Right now, that warm spot that's underneath your butt, it's not your contribution to the kingdom of God. It's not. You weren't made to warm a seat and listen to some bald guy preach at you. What has he called you to? He's called you to walk out these giftings. 1 Peter 4:10, the second half here, you're employing it and serving one another as is appropriate for you. Good stewards of God's multiaceted grace. I love that. faithfully using the diverse, varied gifts and abilities granted to Christians by God's unmmerited favor. You've all been gifted in this way, uniquely and wonderfully. And here's what is here's what I love about this. It says, "Serve one another as good stewards." It's about how you steward the gift that matters. A steward is somebody who manages what belongs to somebody else. You have gifts upon your life that don't belong to you. Yeah, >> God has given it to you. And we are to steward these gifts. And again, there's so many different gifts in the church. There's so many different abilities. And it's not just platform stuff. It's it's the things in the unseen. It's multifaceted. And there's been moments in my own life where where I can see the gifts of God manifesting. And it's not just platform stuff. It's not just me, pastoral meetings and coffees and all the things, but it's moments in the supermarket where the prophetic word just drops in my spirit and I begin to read somebody's mail. Not because I'm special, but because the Holy Spirit manifests in the moment. And it's beautiful and it's powerful moments when scriptures will drop into my spirit for random people that I that I see when I go to restaurants or when I'm at Waffle House. Waffle House is God's waffle. But there's moments where like I'll be talking to somebody and they're just like grilling me about faith and then I start remembering scriptures that I don't even remember reading. Anybody ever been there before? It's like I've got total recall when I have the spirit of God upon my life. And it's incredible visions and dreams that stir my heart to pray. There's been many times, some of y'all, if you've gotten a text from me, it's because I've prayed for you. And there's been moments where I'll just shoot a text. I'll say, "Hey, you dropped in my spirit today. What can I be praying for?" And guess what? Y'all can do that, too. But here's the thing. Moving in the gifts and stepping into the divine of what God has called us to, it doesn't happen by accident. It's not by happen stance. It is required that one is found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:2. God is saying, "I've given you these gifts, and there's one requirement with these gifts. It's to be faithful. Be faithful in how you steward your gifts." And and and again we can say well what is faithful? How do we define faithfulness? We we think steadfast, dependable, loyal, trustworthy, devoted, integral, truthful, all these things. But I want to challenge us today as we look at the kingdom of God, as we look at the kingdom of heaven. The greatest definition that scripture shows us that the Lord shows us for faithful is multiply. faithfulness with the gifts that God has given you. Faithfulness with the walk that he has. It's multiplication. I'm going to paraphrase this story because many of you know it. But the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30, there was a man, a master who gave his stewards, his servants different amounts of talents, bags of gold. The first one he gave five talents. The second one he gave two talents and the third one one talent. And then he went away on a long trip and then he came back. What happens in the story here? This is Jesus telling this parable, telling the story. The first man with five talents, what did he do? He doubled it. Went from five to 10. Incredible. The guy with the two talents, he went from two to four. Doubled it. He multiplied it, which is which is amazing. Now, here's what's here's what's incredible. The response from the master wasn't different for the person with 10 than it was for the person with four. He just said, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Well done. You were faithful. You multiplied. You multiplied what you were given. You were faithful over a few things. And now I will make you a ruler over many things. enter into the joy of the Lord. But what does the third guy do? He hides it. He buries it. And the master came to him and said, you know, where's where my money at? And he said, I was afraid. Church, fear will keep you from using the gifts that God has given you. >> And but what does the master say? you wicked and lazy servant. And here's what he does. He takes his talent and he gives it to the guy with 10. So the guy started with five, went to 10. Now he's got 11. Just just for fun. This is a great example of why God is not a socialist. Because if God was a socialist, can I just be political for a fun second? They all would have gotten three, right? They all would have gotten three. The first two guys would have doubled it. The third guy would have done nothing and then he would have taken one from each of them and then would they would all have five. Y'all are like, "Do the math." Yeah, that that checks out. Sorry, I just thought that was so funny when I was studying this. God's first commandment to Adam and Eve was to be fruitful and multiply. And that wasn't just about making babies. Although that's fun to do, make babies. He was saying, "Anything that I give to you, return it back to me multiplied. Build my house. Build heaven. I'll lead you and I'll guide you in that process." So, very quickly, I'm going to move through this fast. There's three ways that we multiply. There's three ways that we're found faithful in building the church, in building heaven. The first one is obviously giving. Luke 16 9-10. And I tell you, make friends for yourself by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails, they may receive you into the eternal dwelling. Verse 10, one who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much
