In Mark 12:41, the message centers on more than enough | the widow’s offering. Explore Mark 12 and Jesus’ teaching through the widow’s offering, discovering what generosity, sacrifice, trust, and wholehearted giving reveal. Rather than treating the passage as abstract theology, the sermon traces what these truths reveal about God, the gospel, and the way followers of Jesus are called to live.
The sermon follows the biblical text into practical discipleship, connecting doctrine with identity, character, and daily obedience. It challenges listeners to examine the assumptions shaping their lives and to allow the truth of Scripture to renew the way they think and respond. The emphasis is not merely on understanding the passage, but on becoming the kind of people whose lives are formed by it.
Along the way, the message engages themes including Mark 12:41, more than enough | the widow’s offering, mark 12 jesus’ teaching offering, discovering generosity. These ideas help place the primary passage within the larger story of Scripture and show how its theology speaks to real spiritual formation. At its heart, the sermon helps answer questions such as: What does Mark 12:41 teach about more than enough It also considers the widow’s offering?
For someone studying this passage, exploring the Christian faith, or looking for practical biblical teaching, this sermon offers a clear path from the text to everyday discipleship. The invitation is to hear what Scripture says, receive it with humility, and take the next faithful step in following Jesus.
What does Mark 12:41 teach about more than enough | the widow’s offering? | How should more than enough | the widow’s offering shape the way Christians live? | How can believers apply Mark 12:41 in everyday life?

If you have your Bibles, uh, turn with me to 2 Corinthians chapter 9. Again, my name is is Nick and, uh, Pastor Nick. So excited to to be here today. We're going to talk about something really fun and hopefully you you you get it before I even get there. Verse number six. The point is this. Whoever sws sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sws bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver. This morning, I want to talk about the one thing that people have more issues, opinions, and hard hearts towards in the church than any other topic. Are you ready? >> Ready. >> Let's talk about money. You ready? Let's talk about money. It's just a tool. That's right. I know we have issues with money in church. And I know this because I have had issues with money in church. I've seen pastors with extravagant lifestyles. I've seen church members uh threaten to stop tithing to get the pastor to do what they want them to do. I've seen speakers bully people with photos of crying kids and exaggerated stories. Okay? And we all probably have stories that have left a bad taste in our mouth when it comes to giving, when it comes to donating. But the truth is the really the problem that I have more than anything else. It's not with the church and money. It's really with myself. How I spend, how I save, how I use money as a tool. I've made some really bad financial decisions. Anyone else made some bad financial decisions? Hey, every hand should be in the air. I bought things that I didn't need. Any anybody? Come on. I've spent more than I made. Hey, you know, I married a chick with nursing school loans. Hey, hallelujah. >> She was worth it 100%. I've overpaid people who underd delivered. >> Right. I've moved back in with my parents when I was married when the medical bills piled up. I've given money away to people in need only to see them drive away in a car that's nicer than mine. We're talking about God, church, and money. And if I was sitting where you're sitting right now, I would want to get up and leave. Why? Because when we talk about it, the more I have to deal with my heart, the bitterness, the embarrassment, and my selfishness, right? But as followers of Jesus, we need to ask, what does Jesus have to say about money? He talks about it a lot. What does faith plus money equal? And I want to give you two examples really quick. If you're taking notes, I'm in First Kings 17, starting in verse, I think verse 10. I think I cut that intro out. This is Elijah. Then the Lord said to Elijah, "Go and live in the village of Zerapath." Everybody say, "Zerapath near the city of Siden. I have instructed a widow there to feed you." So he went to Zerapath. And as he arrived at the gates of the village, he saw a widow gathering sticks. And he asked her, "Would you please bring me a little water in a cup?" And as she was going to get it, he called to her, "Bring me a bite of bread, too." But she said, "I swear by the Lord your God that I don't have a single piece of bread in this house, and I have only a handful of flour left in a jar and a little cooking oil in the bottom of a jug. Let me just say real quick, God can use anybody who's willing. >> Anybody who has a little bit of faith, anybody that has something in their hands, >> God can see a miracle take place. >> Right? She said, "I was just gathering a few sticks to cook this last meal, and then my son and I will die." But Elijah said to her, "Don't be afraid. Go ahead and do just what you've said, but make a little bread for me first. Then use what's left to prepare a meal for yourself and your son. I just got to I got to pause here, too. Like, read the room, Elijah. Right. >> She just said, "I'm going to die. This is my last meal." And he's like, "Yeah, that's nice. Give me some of it." Right. >> First. But Elijah said this, "For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says, "There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers." Come on, somebody until the time when the Lord sends rain and crops grow again. So she did as Elijah said, and she and Elijah and her family continued to eat for many days. There was always enough flour and oil left in the containers just as the Lord had promised through Elijah. Can I get prophetic for a second? There will always be enough for you when you trust in God. >> Amen. >> I need to say it again. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE ENOUGH FOR YOU when you trust in God. Some of you, if you were honest, your heart feels like there's never enough, >> right? >> That I won't have enough that I I'm always in debt or I'm I'm lacking or I'm just scraping by. But listen, it takes faith to trust God with our actions, with our money and resources. It takes no faith to talk about trusting God. >> It takes no faith to sing about trusting God. >> I trust in God. Right? We should have sang that today. That would have been perfect. But without action, faith isn't faith at all. Saying, "God, I trust you." Tends to be something that we say in order to calm our anxieties, right? God, I trust you. Right? To calm us down when things aren't going well and to help us while we wait on God. And this woman could have done what many of us do. We wait for God to do something. Then we sacrifice. >> Right? God, I'll give you everything. You're my everything. Just like we sang, but first give me this. But first, I need you to provide in this way. Like, give me your presence and give me your provision, but I'm not going to give you my life. It took the woman's action. Notice notice there she made the bread first and then the miracle came. Right? The second story I want to share with you is in the New Testament in in Mark 12:41. Jesus was sitting down near the collection box in the temple and he watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts. Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins. I love this too. There's another translation that says Jesus saw how the people gave their money. He was sitting and seeing how they gave Jesus. He called his disciples to him and said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything that she had to live on." Listen, Jesus is more interested in how we give than how much we give. >> Amen. >> He's looking at the heart. But again, fiscally speaking, financially speaking, how are two coins, two mites, which is the equivalent of $1, worth more than the others, right? This doesn't make sense. We got big givers showing up with with hundreds of thousands droppings in the bucket. You know, that's an idiom. Benjamins, $100 bills. Okay. But this poor widow is given everything that she had to live on. And I'm I'm not a a financial adviser. Um but I think that's a really stupid decision to just give away everything, right? Like nobody would say, "Oh, you should just sell everything. That's a smart move. And you should just give it all to this church or give it all to this ministry." Like I I I I I've never heard anybody come to me and say, "This is what you need to do, right?" Except for Jesus. But here's what's amazing. Again, we can say that's a stupid move. But I have to wonder, she must have known something that we don't know. She She must have experienced something that we have yet to experience. Maybe she's she's come to the realization of God that goes beyond our comprehension. It's a a radical dependence on God. >> Have we have we experienced this? But but again, it's so irrational. It doesn't make sense in our minds to give away something that is used to help us survive, used to help us thrive. I mean, the world runs on money, right? It doesn't make any sense to give away the thing that helps us plan for our future. But isn't it like Jesus to address our hearts, to help us trust God more? And let me just let me just I need to say this. I I um I cannot convince you and I and I never plan on trying to convince you as your pastor to desire to follow Jesus in this way. Like it's not my job to convince you. I'm just here to to share what the word of God says and the testimony of what God has done in my life. That's that's your cross to carry. And let me just say, God has given me more than enough and has given this church more than enough. We've never wanted for anything. But I'm praying that our next step is getting us closer to where this woman is because she's in the hands of God. >> Radical dependence on the Lord. I have five biblical truths from these stories that I want to hit really quick if you're taking notes. The first one is this. God sees everyone. God sees everyone. If you're rich and powerful, if you're a widow, an orphan, and you're poor, maybe you think God doesn't know what's going on in your life. Like, like, has God seen my bank account? Right? Does God know what inflation is? Somebody >> listen, God is still on the throne and he knows your unique situation. Amen. >> He knows everything about you and everything that's going on in your life. AND HE KNOWS WHAT'S about to come. >> This is what I love about God. When we can fully radically depend on him, it just takes the pressure off in so many ways because he knows what's about to come and he's already prepared to provide for you and all we have to do is pursue him. Amen. Yeah. >> Listen, God is more concerned with who you are becoming than your net worth. >> That's right. >> Number two, giving requires trust in the Lord. How do we trust? We sacrifice. >> Yeah. >> And and to be kind of funny here, sacrificing for us, it tends to look like getting a lightly used iPhone instead of a new one. That's a sacrifice, right? Right. Or I'm shopping at Ali's instead of Target, right? Anybody? No, just me. Okay, cool. I'm sacrificing for Jesus, y'all. Or I'm buying New Balance instead of Nike. No. Is that good? New Balance. Are you cool now? Okay, cool. Or I'm driving a 2015 instead of a 2025. Right. Oh, I'm suffering for Jesus, y'all. I don't think anybody in this room is at the level of trusting God where you're down to nothing and still sacrificially giving like this woman was again cuz it's it's irrational. But when we sew into the kingdom of God, that's an investment that's populating heaven and changing the world for Jesus. Amen. In 2 Corinthians 9, heading heading back into into verse 10. He who supplies seed to the sewer and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sewing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that goes from your confession of the gospel of Christ and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all the others. Again, Paul's talking to the Corinthian church about, "Hey, your giving is sending us to reach the lost. We're planting churches in places where there's never been churches before. We're doing the work of the Lord." And and he's saying there's blessing and favor and increase for those that are generous. And when we trust God and sacrificially give so that people's lives can be transformed by Jesus, what does it do? Scripture says it glorifies God and he trusts us with more. You're giving and so now I'm going to increase because you're going to keep giving because giving is a ministry. Amen. >> Number three, giving aligns us with the heart of God. I love this. Remember John 3:16. For God so loved the world that he gave his son. He gave his son because the heart of God is a giver. We are new creations and we're now hardwired as believers to be givers. And if you say, "I love Jesus, but I'm not a giver." We need to assess the heart because it's the heart of God to give. He gave his son for us and he calls us to give our lives to him. And and if you think that money is not part of your life, we need to address the heart. Giving helps us to become what I believe it's who God has designed us to be. Some of us aren't where God wants us to be in our walk with him or we're not fully in the plan yet really because we're struggling to trust that God will take care of us if we step out in faith. In Matthew 6 25 it says, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on? Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air. They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Jumping down to verse 33. I love this. It says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then all of these things will be added to you." >> Right. >> Him first. >> And then everything else is going to fall into place. Again, what the what the enemy meant for evil, when we're pursuing God and putting him first, God turns it all into good. >> Amen. This is who we are as believers. And again, sometimes we try to over complicate it and we compartmentalize our money and our stuff from our faith. But when we allow it to to be all-encompassing, he gets to be the Lord of all of your life and all of those decisions. And and again, it's no longer lip service of God, I trust you. It's God, I trust you. Here, take it. Whatever you give me is yours and I'm just a steward of it. Listen, God cares about your needs. >> Yes, he does. >> He cares that you're fed. He's cared that you're He cares that you're taken care of. But when I look at the scripture, I wonder, do we care about the kingdom as much as he cares about us? And this is why it's so important that we seek first the kingdom of God. Number four, giving is a practice. Giving transforms me. Just like a pro alete has to continue to practice and practice. Even though they're already amazing and they're already great, they still keep practicing. They still keep getting better. It's the same for us, right? We get saved, we got saved, we're following Jesus. And by following Jesus, we're practicing and we're walking out our faith. And it's just like giving. If we don't practice, if we're not intentionally pursuing God, then we drift. We drift. And sin will always pull us back to being selfish. >> Yeah. >> I remember growing up, the first time that I gave something substantial that hurt me when I gave, it was $100. I don't remember how old I was, but it was a lot of money at that time. And then the next time God said, "All right, make it 250." And then I gave 250 and then 500. And the next time God asked me to give, it was 2,000. And I was like, "God, what's what what is what is going on here? Why why are we why do we keep going up? Can't I just like give a $100, you know, every every single time I come to church?" But but God kept moving on my heart and things began to happen in my life. I can't I can't explain it other than God kept blessing me. And so I JUST HAD MORE TO GIVE. The more he found me faithful, THE MORE I I GAVE. And here's what's so amazing in my life. Student loans, her student loans, not mine, okay? >> STUDENT LOANS GOT PAID OFF EARLY. >> Not by me. WE JUST SOMEONE IN OUR FAMILY'S JUST LIKE, "HEY, I want to pick this up." And I'm like, "That's great. Praise God." It was him. I mean, in all of that, right, >> I had medical bills, medical debts forgiven. I had I've had I've had hospitals send me checks in the mail, reimbursing me because I overpaid. >> Hallelujah. >> Like, there's been so many moments where God has taken care of me. >> There's been so many instances and moments that God kept blessing me and then better jobs started coming my way. I I did video contracts and all all social media and things like that. More contracts started opening up. More opportunities came my way. And so I had more to give and so I just kept giving. But I started with what I had in my hands. And here's what's here's what's really cool, right? This is all great. And this could I could stop right now and be going, he preaches prosperity gospel. Like here we go. But check this out. Because I started giving, churches in Ecuador and Thailand and Guatemala were built. >> Children were fed in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Cambodia, and Israel. Pastors were trained here in Tennessee, and Iran, Nigeria, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. People that were far from God were saved. >> LIKE, LIKE GOD IS SO FAITHFUL. GOD has a plan. >> And he wants to use us TO SEE HIS PLAN COME FORTH. >> THAT'S RIGHT. >> But are we willing to give him everything. >> God, I'll give you my time. I I I I'll give you my my my support and my prayer and all this stuff, but don't take my money. I need this to eat. But look what happens when we give. Generosity. It doesn't happen by accident. It doesn't happen when you start getting more. We have to practice and give with what he's given us. Number five, I'm almost done. Let's go. Come on, somebody. Giving brings balance to our life. And I I I want us to to really hone on this. Giving brings balance to our life. A really good word for balance is peace. Everybody say, "Peace." When my life has balance, it's like a deep breath. Take a deep breath with me. Come on, we can do it. Praise God. When we're being in the will of God, there's alignment with his heart. I'm becoming more like him every day. There's just peace. But when my life is out of balance with money, relationships, with work, it's hard to follow Jesus. We can be Can we be honest here? It is hard to follow Jesus when there's no peace in our lives. >> We want the the peace that passes all understanding. But do we trust the prince of peace, Jesus, to take care of our needs? And it's one of the the greatest tensions that we struggle with as believers. It's hard because we live in America. You make $100 and groceries cost 110. >> Somebody >> fix it. It's out of balance. And what does it do? It steals our peace. It steals our peace. God thing things are out of balance right now. like I'm not making enough to be able to take care of my my day-to-day needs. It's stealing my peace and now I can't eat. I don't have enough to participate in the way that God's leading us. It would be so good. It' be so great that I could tithe or that I could give to this ministry because I believe in it so much. Or I see this missionary that's that's doing all these things around the world. I want to be able to give to it, but I can't because there's not enough. we don't have enough and then we're under stress. We can't sleep and we're angry. And that anger tends to point to God. And the number one cause of divorce in America is not infidelity, it's financial issues. That's why this matters so much. It matters that we talk about money in church. So, so, so you're saying, Pastor Nick, you're saying that I need to work 90 hours a week, neglect my family, neglect my friends so that I can make enough money so I can tithe. No, because that's out of balance. >> It's not God's plan for you. He wants us to align ourselves with his way. He wants us to seek first the kingdom of God above all else and then everything is added unto us. You want to thrive and become like Jesus, be generous and receive peace. There's a there's a study where they surveyed a thousand Americans, different socioeconomic levels, and they were categorized in in in two different categories, but kind of span the whole spectrum. one side you have highly generous people, very generous people, right? They're they're they're they're giving away to charities, to churches, nonprofits, all the different things. And then on the other side of the spectrum, you guessed it, it's those that don't give at all. It's not non-generous people. And they found that every ungenerous person said, "I would give if I made 20% more." >> 20% more. That's like the myth number, the mythical number, the unicorn of a number. If I can get 20, if I can get a 20%, who thinks they can actually get a 20% raise at their job right now? Right? If you're thinking when I get to this income, X income, whatever that amount is, then I will become a generous giver. I'm telling you right now, you're believing a lie. >> It's never going to happen. If you can't be generous on $15 an hour, you're not going to be generous on $15,000 a month. >> Can we be faithful what God has put in our hands and put our lives back into his hands? Generous givers, according to study, were two times more happy in life than the people that were non-givers. And they even talk about gratitude. If you're a generous giver, you are four times more likely to appreciate and be grateful for what you have more than a non-giver. So based on this study, if you are unhappy in life, start giving, start being grateful, it'll change your heart. The study also asked this. This is kind of fun. If you needed $1,000 today, who could you ask? If you needed $1,000, who could you who could you call right now and ask for it? And on average, generous givers had four to six friends who would give them $1,000 if asked. And non-givers had no friends that would give them $1,000. Here's what's funny. It it basically shows us that generous people were happier in their relationships than non-generous people. You want to know why? Have you ever met a taker? Do you enjoy spending time with takers? And and and the question that I wrestle with so often when it comes to giving is, am I a giver or am I a taker? Am I am I going what is God giving me? WHAT WHAT HAS GOD EVER DONE for me? Is this my attitude? Is this the place that I'm at? And again, so many times it's it's fueled from this place of anger and not enough. Even though he has paid the highest price for each and every one of us, we get to spend eternity with him. Like if he never does another thing, Ryan said it so well, his blood is enough. >> Yeah. >> If if he never does another thing for you, he's already done enough. AND WE HAVE THE AUDACITY to say, "What is God giving me? What am I getting out of this?" That's a taker mentality. The question needs to be, "What am I giving to God? What am I giving to God? Does does he have access to everything or just the part of my life that I show him on Sundays? Listen, God has a plan for your life. And and I've said it so many times, it almost feels cliche. God has a plan for your life if you'll give it to him. Right? He has a plan. It's right here. But he needs us to give ourselves to him to see the plan take place. He has a plan for your money if you'll give it to him. Does he have access to it? Because I I have to say it and and and I got to hit this point home. Giving brings balance into our lives. >> Yeah. >> It brings peace into our lives because when we seek first the kingdom, everything is added unto us. When we get to sew, as as 2 Corinthians told us, as we sew into the kingdom of God, he continues to increase in our lives. And it doesn't make sense. It's so irrational to give in this way because we don't have the ability to see into the future and what's to come. And so it takes radical dependence and trust in God. Again, we can we can say we trust in God, but are we trusting him in action? Are we waiting for the miracle to come before we'll be obedient? Again, you may have different struggles, situations with money, but every single one of us have a next step in this process. And I and my prayer today is that we would ask God, what is our next step? What is my next step? Like ask the Holy Spirit even now as I'm landing the plane here, what is my next step? What do I have to do to get to the next step? How do I have to pray? And I want to address the elephant in the room here, the ladder in the room. I want to show you what your first step is. You ready? Please don't stick to each other. Okay, good. Here's your first step. Potential giver. This is your first step. You're you are a potential giver. And that really means that you don't give right now. You don't give. And it might be a mentality of not enough. Right? I don't have enough. I don't have anything to give. Or maybe you've lost trust in the church. And again, I said it before. I am not going to argue with you. I am not going to try to convince you to give. I I I hate it when preachers and pastors manipulate people into giving. I'm not going to do it. If you don't give, I don't care. It doesn't matter to me, but it matters to God. I'm not going to try to convince you. That's really what the Holy Spirit is for. It's his kindness that leads us to repentance. It's his presence that leads us into deeper places with him to grow us. He leads us in the right way. Again, my motive today is is not to get more money for full life. I desperately, desperately want you to become who God desires you to be. >> And biblically, that is a generous follower of Jesus. >> Desperately. And so, if you're a potential giver today, here's your prayer. And if you're a potential giver, write this prayer down. It's God, what do I do with my stuff? That's your prayer. You're a potential giver today. You say, "God, what do I do with my stuff?" All right. Now, we got the second step here. All right. It's the emergent giver. I should probably spread these out a little bit. My ladder is too big for all my steps. An emergent giver. You give when you feel moved. If you're an emergent giver, you give when you feel moved. There's a missionary or there's a project or there's something that that that you you you cross in life and you go, "Oh, this is impacting my heart. This is awesome." And let me just say, we have some amazing projects to look forward to in 2026 at our missions gala happening on Friday. Can we throw that slide up really quick one more time? You have to RSVP so that we can get enough food. Okay? It's going to be great. Scan the QR code. If you show up and you're not on my list, I'm gonna eat your food. Okay, cool. Again, we're not asking for money at this. We are casting vision for the future. Please RSVP. Okay, great. And let me just say this for an emerging giver. When when you give when you feel moved, thank you. Thank you for having a heart that can be moved. >> Like you are responding to needs. Like it's awesome. Like you have a heart. like this is amazing. Like thank you because again you're you're starting to recognize that this is not mine anymore. God's the one that's giving it to me, right? And I and I see a need. Fill a need. Like this is great. Love it. All right. My next my next step. I should probably move these closer to me so I have to make this walk. There you go. Just didn't want you to see them all. Here's our next one. It's a consistent giver. Everybody say consistent. >> Consistent givers give all the time. We're going to church. We're giving. We're going to give because we're going to church. It's a consistent practice. We give to charities, projects, needs, benevolence. A consistent giver. Their prayer. Oh, I skipped the prayer from before. Here we go. Emergent givers prayer is God, what's the Oh, sorry. Where's my prayer? Here we go. The emerging givers prayer is what do I do with God's stuff? And the consistent givers prayer is what do I do with your stuff? Yeah. Again, it's not what do I do with this stuff. It's what do I do now? It's not sitting back and waiting for something to cross our pathway. It's going to God and saying, "Now that you've given this to me. How can I give it to you, God? Tell me what to do with your money. I'm not just going to give to things that move me. I want to give to things that move you." The next one is the tithe giver. Tithe is a fun word. Tithe is a Greek word for 10%. It's biblical. You can find it in Malachi 3 10. You take 10% of your income and you give it to God. And it's not 10% of what's left over after all your bills and expenses are paid for, right? It's 10% off the top. It's the first fruits in God's hands. And then we're going to believe that God's hand will be on the other 90%. >> Right? >> And this is really tough because if you make more, >> you give more, >> you give more. >> Say it with me. If you make more, >> make more. >> You give more. >> It may not be equal amounts to others, but it's equal sacrifice. Right? It's hard. It doesn't make sense. But I'm telling you, there is balance and peace when we begin to give in this way. >> Amen. >> Because now I'm giving and I'm trusting and my money has meaning to it. >> Now I'm I'm making more and I get to give more. Like God is blessing me with all of these things more and more and now it's just okay. This is automatic. This this is this is great. I'm I'm I'm being obedient and like you can set up I set up reoccurring giving. Like I'm being obedient without even doing anything. How awesome is that? I'm following Jesus and it's just it's it's happening for me right away. There's peace in it. And I and I want to do this. I didn't I didn't fully ask for permission to do this, but I'm going to do it anyways. If you're not tithing right now, if you're not giving 10% of of the first fruits, not 10% of your what's left over, if you're not giving right now, if you will give 10% for the next 90 days, I will give you your money back guaranteed. If you find that God has not changed your life in 90 days, I'll do it. You have to come. You have to come talk to me first to do it. You can't just start giving and then come find me 90 days later and say, "Give me my money back." You come talk to me and you say, "Pastor, I want to start tithing. I want I want to start giving 10% of my first fruits. And if God has not radically changed your life, I will give you all your money back." All right, I'm serious. Let's do it. Because what I found is when we do things like this, when we begin to test God in this way and begin to trust him in this way, there's less in the beginning and then there's more in the end. >> Yeah. >> It's the peace of God. Tithing is the cheat code to becoming like Jesus. It really is because it's blind faith in action. Like, do do you want blind faith for other areas in your life? Like, do are you believing that God would begin to move in areas that you have zero control over? Test God in this. If you'll begin to trust him with what you have, watch him begin to see miracles take place in other areas of your life. I I promise you, I'm not supposed to make promises like that, but God's good for it. >> Amen. He's been good to me. He'll be good to you. >> We have to trust him. Like, can God trust us with the plans that he has for us if we can't trust him with our money? I'm just I'm so shook by this. The prayer for the tithing giver is, "God, how much of my life do you want me to give?" >> Yeah. >> It's not just money anymore. Now, it's my life. That's what the next step is going to start to look like. is the next step is this. It's being an irrational giver. We're talking about irrational faith, irrational generosity. It doesn't make any sense. And so beyond tithing, it's this just feels irrational now. Like I'm I'm giving, you know, what's coming in, but but now God is giving me so much more. Now God is saying, I want you to give to missions. I want I want there's this missionary that that that that that's doing amazing things in the world that's we're seeing churches planted in all these different places. One of the things that we're going to talk about in our missions gall which is so powerful. There's a percentage right now I'm I give it away because I'm just so excited about it. There's a percentage right now that shows specifically in Asia in Asia Pacific almost every pastor that comes through their Bible school. close to 80% of pastors actually go on to planting a church >> and and and usually they're planting a church in an unreached area >> like like and and and so for you'll have to find out more details uh at the missions gallop but for a certain amount of money and it's a very small amount of money you can send somebody to Bible school >> for three years and they become a pastor and they go plant churches >> and we're seeing it happen not just in Asia it's happening in Africa America that's happening in Latin America. It's incredible when we begin to sew into the kingdom of God, not just here, but around the world. It's exponential. We're seeing churches explode. We're seeing God move in so many powerful ways, not just here in America, but around the world. And we get to be a part of it. We get to sew into it. Just like in second Corinthians, again, thi
